Frequently Asked Questions
iSense uses proprietary Comfort Control™ technology to let you adjust the firmness of your mattress without relying on a traditional air chamber for support.
Responsive foam cells inside the mattress adjust as air pressure changes, allowing you to choose a comfort setting from 10 to 99. On Queen and King sizes, each sleeper can independently adjust their side of the mattress.
Unlike traditional adjustable airbeds, air is used to adjust the comfort of the foam while the mattress maintains a separate support foundation. The Hybrid Premier uses individually wrapped coils for support, while the Classic uses an all-foam support foundation.
No. iSense is not a traditional air mattress or adjustable airbed.
Traditional adjustable airbeds use large air chambers as a primary part of the mattress's support system. iSense takes a different approach. Comfort Control™ technology uses air to adjust the firmness of responsive foam while maintaining a separate support foundation.
The Hybrid Premier combines adjustable foam comfort with individually wrapped coils, while the Classic combines adjustable comfort with an all-foam support foundation.
The result is personalized firmness without relying on a large air chamber to support your body.
Yes. Queen and King iSense mattresses feature Dual Comfort, allowing each sleeper to independently choose the firmness that feels best for them.
With comfort settings from 10 to 99, one partner can enjoy a softer feel while the other chooses a firmer setting.
This makes iSense especially well suited for couples with different comfort preferences, body types, or sleep positions.
No. Choosing a softer comfort setting doesn't mean giving up the mattress's underlying support.
iSense Comfort Control™ technology adjusts the feel of the responsive foam independently from the mattress's support foundation. The Hybrid Premier uses individually wrapped coils for underlying support, while the Classic uses an all-foam support foundation.
This allows you to personalize your comfort without relying on air pressure inside a large chamber for your primary support.
Both iSense and Sleep Number allow couples to personalize the comfort of each side of the mattress, but they use fundamentally different technologies.
Sleep Number mattresses adjust by changing the air pressure inside an air chamber that helps support the sleeper. iSense Comfort Control™ technology uses air to adjust the firmness of responsive foam rather than relying on a large air chamber as the mattress's primary support system.
The iSense Hybrid Premier combines adjustable foam comfort with individually wrapped coils, providing personalized firmness with the familiar support and feel of a premium hybrid mattress.
Both iSense mattresses feature Dual Comfort and Comfort Control™ technology, allowing couples to independently adjust the firmness on each side of the bed.
The Classic provides adjustable comfort in an all-foam design, while the Hybrid Premier Smart Mattress combines adjustable comfort with premium foam layers and individually wrapped coils for enhanced support, responsiveness and airflow.
The Hybrid Premier is our most advanced adjustable mattress and is designed for sleepers who want the feel of a premium hybrid with personalized firmness.
Yes. iSense adjustable mattresses are designed for side, back and stomach sleepers because you can personalize the comfort level rather than being limited to a mattress with one fixed firmness.
Each sleeper can adjust their side to find the balance of pressure relief and support that feels best for their body, sleep position and comfort preferences.
Your comfort needs can also change over time, so iSense allows you to readjust your mattress whenever you need to.
Being able to adjust mattress firmness can help you find the balance of pressure relief and support that feels most comfortable for your body.
In iSense customer research, 84% of sleepers surveyed reported experiencing back pain relief while sleeping on an iSense mattress.
Individual experiences vary, and a mattress is not a treatment for back pain or a medical condition. However, adjustable comfort gives you the ability to change your mattress as your comfort needs change.
Yes. iSense mattresses are designed with breathable materials and airflow in mind.
The Comfort Control™ system uses individual vertical cells rather than a large, full-length air bladder, allowing air to move through the mattress. The Hybrid Premier also combines breathable, temperature-responsive comfort foams with hybrid construction to help manage heat buildup.
For sleepers who want active temperature control, iSense can also be paired with iSense climate control by BedJet for personalized heating and cooling.
Yes. Both the iSense Classic and Hybrid Premier Smart Mattress are fully compatible with adjustable bases.
An adjustable base allows you to elevate your head and feet, find a more comfortable position for sleeping or relaxing, and add features such as massage.
Combined with iSense adjustable firmness, an adjustable base gives you control over both the comfort and position of your sleep surface.
Every iSense adjustable mattress includes a 10-Year Full Warranty.
Covered mattress components, including the Comfort Control™ system, are protected throughout the 10-year warranty period without prorated replacement charges. Covered warranty service also includes shipping.
Unlike warranties that require customers to pay an increasing percentage of replacement costs as a mattress gets older, the iSense Full Warranty is designed to provide straightforward protection for all 10 years.
Every iSense adjustable mattress includes a 180-Night Comfort Guarantee, giving you time to experience adjustable comfort in your own home.
We ask that you sleep on your mattress for at least 45 consecutive nights before starting a return. This gives your body time to adjust and allows you to experiment with different comfort settings.
After 45 nights, you may return your mattress at any time during the remaining trial period. If iSense isn't the right fit, we'll arrange pickup and cover the return shipping cost.
The 180-Night Comfort Guarantee applies to adjustable mattresses and does not apply to adjustable bases.
Every iSense mattress is made to order at our factory in Springfield, Missouri.
For customers in the contiguous 48 states, your mattress is typically manufactured and delivered within 2 to 4 weeks from the date your order is placed. Delivery is handled by a specialized freight carrier to help ensure your mattress arrives safely.
Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii require additional transit time.
